Well our peach friend from Fredericksburg brought more (maybe 150 pounds?) peaches yesterday- it felt like we hit the lottery! What a treasure. So I was totally inspired to make peach everything and can it, and then I was at Costco and they had Washington cherries- well of course I couldn't pass those up! So I canned and canned and this is what I came out with:
Final count: 45 jars! I know it's nothing compared to what Mom used to do- I don't even have any quart jars in the mix, but I'm still quite excited to eat my canned goods (already ate one jar of cherries after I did it last week... mmmmm)
I think I'm done for now, though. Thanks, Gus, for the peaches!
